Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of West Shore Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with West Shore CC Day Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows the club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 5 - 11
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Joe Ferguson, and I am excited to announce that I will be returning as the KE Camps director for the upcoming summer at West Shore Country Club. I previously worked as a camp director at the Country Club of Harrisburg during the summer of 2015, Carlisle Country Club during the summer of 2016, and most recently at West Shore Country Club last summer as a counselor and director during the final week of camp.
In terms of my educational background, I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in the spring of 2010, and later attained my teaching certification during the winter of 2015 from Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania. I currently work as an 8th grade social studies teacher for the Cumberland Valley School District in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and will be completing my fourth year of full-time teaching this year. I really enjoy teaching because it gives
me the opportunity to work with young people, serve as a positive role model, and bring history to life in a meaningful and engaging way.
I enjoy being a camp director during the summer months because it gives me the chance to carry out a variety of activities with campers while friendships and lasting memories are formed in the process. Getting kids outside in the fresh air and taking a break from technology during each camp day is also something I believe is really important.
When I am not teaching or running summer camp, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Carolyn, my son, Luke (2 years old), and our dog, Reese. I enjoy rooting for the Philadelphia sports teams (Eagles and Flyers are my favorites) and Penn State football. I also enjoy traveling, attending sports events and concerts, listening to music, and watching movies. I am looking forward to returning to West Shore, and to working with both new and returning campers and families!
