Age Range: 5 - 12
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
My name is Aaron Leatherbarrow, and I am returning to The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach along with KE Camps to put on another AMAZING camp experience for 2019! I had so much fun the last two years and I am so ready for some more!
I am a father of 3 incredible girls and am happily married to my wife, Erica, for almost 18 years now. I am a music teacher at River City Science Academy Innovation, the greatest S.T.E.A.M. charter school in the city of JAX. I was nominated as the Teacher of the Year and WON the award for all of DUVAL county as a “Spotlight Teacher of the Year!" I have taught thousands of kids, led over 50 different camps, taught kids how to explore their creativity, and have done my best to be a positive influence on every child I get the chance to meet.
I am a kayak angler who fishes the Intercoastal Waterway as much as I can. I love the moment where the sun sets, and the redfish start swimming hungrily on the grass lines. I have seen every single minute of every single Star Trek titled program. I consider Chief Miles O Brian, Dr. Bashir, Captain Kirk, Bones, Data, even Tripp to be family! I like coffee as much as Captain Janeway, and care about space exploration as much as Lieutenant Saru. I recently moved to the Atlantic Beach area and spent the last 3 months completely remodeling our house. I still love Dungeons and Dragons. I still love Pokémon and Superman. I played college level baseball, and still love the NY Yankees. I spend most of my time making robotic music for toddlers, studying advanced gaming rules, reading fishing reports, and running.
Hanging out with the awesome kids at The Plantation last summer was an incredible experience. I can’t wait to see how our campers have grown in their golf, fitness, tennis, croquet, and paddle boarding skills! Let’s get those SMILE and SILLY bands ready and start thinking of some awesome team name ideas!
See you all soon!
