Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Arts & Crafts
Group Games
Fun with Foods
Super Science Projects
STEM Challenges
Sports and Recreation
Electives: Every afternoon, campers will be able to choose which Elective they would like to attend. Elective choices will vary from day to day and will include fun and interactive subjects such as Sports, Drama, Music, Create & Build, Fine Arts and Movement. Campers look forward to putting their individual KE Camps Tree up on the Elective Board to indicate which activity they choose!
Enrichment Opportunities

Wacky Wednesdays

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

You have the option to purchase a kid-friendly lunch provided by the school for $25 per week. If you would like to choose this option, you may do so at the time of enrollment. Otherwise, you are welcome to pack a lunch for your child.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches served by the school will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Registration for Summer 2020 is now open and will continue until we are full.  So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.

Full payment is due upon registration.  This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Cancellations & Refunds

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at Cancellations made before June 28, 2020 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee).  After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

Form Downloads

Don’t forget to take a look at the important camp forms below.

The State Health Department requires a record of immunization OR letter stating the medical or religious exemption reason to be collected before your child may attend camp.

Parent Manual

Be sure to read this manual for important and specific details about camp.

NJ Camper Health Form Supplement

Download this health form, print, complete and fax or email back to us as soon as you can and definitely before camp begins. You may also log back in to the registration site after you have enrolled your child to upload the paperwork there. We will ask for some medical information about your child during the online registration process. In addition, NJ state law requires that this supplement be on file for every camper. We thank you for your cooperation in getting this form to us in a timely manner.

Authorization to Administer Medication Form

Should your child require any medication during the camp day (including an Epi-Pen or Inhaler), we ask that you complete this form and send it directly to our office or hand it to your Camp Director on your child’s first day of camp.

Meet Your Camp Director

Hello Campers and Families!

My name is Sam Borelli, and I will be the director of Red Raider Day Camp at The Pennington School this summer. I am looking forward to a great summer and I can’t wait to meet everyone!

I am a recent graduate of Rider University with bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Psychology. Currently, I am a third grade teacher at Village Elementary School in Montgomery. I have spent my past three summers as a counselor for KE Camps at Camp Cherry Valley in Skillman. I absolutely loved my camp experiences and I am excited to take what I have learned there and apply it to my new position as director!

Working with children has always been a passion of mine. From a young age I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, but a camp setting gives me the chance to interact with kids from a different perspective. Working at a summer camp is extremely rewarding because children have the opportunity to explore their creativity, socialize, and grow in unique ways.

Aside from camp and teaching, I have been dancing for sixteen years and began to choreograph my own dances in college. In my free time, I love to read, practice yoga, draw, and travel. One of my favorite experiences was when I studied abroad in Italy a few years ago! In the future, a goal of mine is to travel to new places because I really enjoy learning more about the world around me.

I have an extremely enthusiastic and energetic personality and I am truly excited to create a fun, safe, and positive environment for all campers. I hope you are as excited for this summer as I am!

Sam Borelli
