The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp ArrowCreek in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows The Club at ArrowCreek to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.

Age Range: 5 - 10

All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf lessons at camp, please click here.

Golf: 2 recreational group lessons each week
Swimming: recreational swim time in the club’s pool each day
Arts & Crafts
Group Games
Fun with Foods
Super Science Projects
STEM Challenges

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Extra Snacks (Optional)
Flotation Vest: If you know that your child will be classified as a Bogey (our term for Non-Swimmer) this summer or you prefer your child to be classified this way, please pack a flotation vest for use in the Shallow End of the pool.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers and Families,

It’s me again, Melanie McGarry! I am beyond excited to be returning this year to Camp ArrowCreek! I had a blast last summer, and I cannot wait to start planning new activities and adventures for our campers this summer!

I love to get to know my campers and their families over the course of the summer and I love to let you all get to know me as well! I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I am currently in my fifth year of teaching and my second year of teaching kindergarten! I love working with kids of different ages because I learn so much through their eyes. Kids see things and explore the world in different ways than adults do and by working with them, it allows me to see that all the time. I love watching a child when they have finally accomplished a goal that they have been working towards, like making Birdie in the swimming test after practicing all summer or earning a certificate at Iron Chef Friday.

I graduated from UNR in May of 2015 with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary School, emphasizing on Early Childhood Education and English Language Learners. I went back to UNR and graduated in May of 2018 with my Masters in Elementary Education – Literacy Studies. I love taking what I know about teaching and the development of children and applying it to camp with activities that I may not be able to do on a daily basis in my classroom. A few of my favorite things are the color teal blue, drinking chai or sweet tea, eating lobster and chocolate chip cookies, reading, drawing (Zentangles!), baking and getting outdoors.

Last summer, I had the best time at ArrowCreek! Some of my favorite things were Iron Chef Friday (the campers are super creative with their dishes), Wacky Wednesdays (I loved seeing the campers get dressed up and all the different projects for these days - I can’t wait for the themes this summer), Thankful Thursday, as well as water games and awesome science and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) projects! There were so many fun activities that we did and I cannot wait for all the ones that we are going to be doing this summer! I cannot wait to create new memories with our campers and counselors this summer! The best memories are made at summer camp!

I can't wait to see you!
Melanie
