Club Registration Requirements

If you are not a Club Member of Talking Rock Club you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Talking Rock Kids in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Talking Rock Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.

Age Range: 5 - 12

All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Tennis: 2 recreational group lessons each week

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director

To Our Wonderful Campers and Families,

I am so excited to be a part of the KE Camps team and to have an opportunity to participate in the wonderful summer camp experience that is being hosted by Talking Rock Club!

This year marks my 15th year in education, including 5 years as an academic and behavioral coach for the Roosevelt School District and one year as an IDEA/504/IEP specialist for Maui Unified School District. I returned to Prescott, after graduating from Grand Canyon State University with my master's degree in Reading Curriculum and Instruction, taking a position at Granite Mountain School on the 6th grade math and science team. I had previously lived in Prescott as a child, attending Abia Judd and Granite Mountain Schools, and decided that this would be the best community to raise my own two boys.

Outside of my regular teaching day, I also have the privilege of teaching a children's cooking class and a children's floral design class at Granite Mountain. My previous camp experience ranges from Camp Director at the YMCA of Yuma and S.O.A.R. Summer Camp, to swim instructor for the Prescott YMCA Porpoise Club, and summer camp attendee throughout my childhood.

Summer camps offer a unique opportunity for relationship building, memorable activities that sustain academic
learning, and even lasting friendships. This is the experience that I am so excited to facilitate for our campers this summer! Not only will we be participating in golf, tennis, and swimming activities - but we also have the unique opportunity to offer STEM-focused curriculum. Children will participate in solving a project-based learning activity that applies to a real world issue, wherein they will collaborate with teammates in an engaging series of activities. I am also really looking forward to our Wacky Wednesdays and Thankful Thursdays, the week of July 22nd and Halloween in July in particular! The memories that will be made this summer will be undoubtedly outstanding!

We hope that you are as excited as we are for camp! With the beautiful scenery and facilities at Talking Rock and the expert coordination of KE Camps, the summer of 2019 will be one to remember! I look forward to meeting you all.

Yours in summer camp awesomeness,
Cara Foster
