All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack

Covid-19 Safety Policy

As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.

We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly!  We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Please find our 2021 Covid-19 Safety Policy here.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers and Families,

Hi, my name is Abbey Wollnik, and I am so incredibly excited to be your camp director this summer! I graduated this May from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My plans for the future consist of becoming an early childhood educator at a local elementary school. My absolute favorite way to spend my summer is with children at summer camp! I have spent the last 5 summers as a camp counselor/assistant camp director and am looking forward to continuing being a part of all of the fun that comes along with summer camp.

Outside of camp, I spend a lot of my free time listening to music, taking walks outside, and spending time with friends and family. Occasionally, I am able to find time to travel to places in and out of the country, since I absolutely love traveling. I also have two Yorkies at home, Mango and Mocha. My family enjoys naming our dogs after food! Growing up, I was a competitive cheerleader from 3rd grade through college and had the opportunity to travel to many states to compete. Being a part of a team and staying active is something I have always enjoyed.

Working with children is something I have always been drawn to. I love that summer camp provides an opportunity to build strong connections with each child. It is truly a wonderful way to get to know each child which makes the camp experience that much better. Choosing to work with children has been so impactful as I continue to learn and grow alongside them. Their curiosity is so inspiring and keeps me on my toes as well. Children also have such a humorous and playful side to them which makes working with them every day so enjoyable.

I am extremely excited for camp this summer! I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each camper and family. We have so many interactive and engaging activities planned that will make camp unforgettable for your child. I hope you are looking forward to a fun-filled summer as we create many camp memories together.

Sincerely,

Abbey Wollnik
