Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
You have the option to purchase a kid-friendly lunch provided by the club for $35 per week. If you would like to purchase this option, you may do so during online enrollment. Otherwise, you are welcome to pack a lunch for your child.
A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Cory Byrd, and I want to start by saying how excited I am for another year of camp at Sky Meadow. This is my SIXTH year as the director at camp and I am looking forward to this year more than ever. One of my favorite parts of summer is every Monday when I get to see both new and returning campers as we get ready for each exciting week.
I’d love the opportunity to tell you and your family a little about myself. First, let me start by saying that working with children has been a passion of mine for the entirety of my adult life. I currently am a 12th grade science teacher at Lighthouse School, a therapeutic school and treatment center. I have been at Lighthouse for eight years and worked in many different roles, from crisis specialist and family therapist to gym teacher and football coach. In addition to my new role as a teacher, I am also a certified instructor for the Crisis Prevention Institute which focuses on keeping children and staff as safe as possible. I love my job and am thrilled for the opportunities it allows me with regard to helping at risk children.
In terms of my educational background, I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and then received my master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. I am now working towards the licensure requirements to be a fully certified teacher and continue my work with children in multiple domains.
When I am not at work, I love having fun. I am an avid golfer and get out as often as time allows. On top of that, I play on a beach volleyball team in the summer and play flag football year-round. I love being outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, boating and fishing. Summer camp is something I am very passionate about and I am thrilled to be back for yet another summer. I look forward to the opportunity to meet all the new campers and see returning faces.
See you soon,
