Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a member of Shooting Star, you must be Sponsored and Accompanied by a Member’s Child in order to enroll. This means you can only have your child attend camp on the very same days as your Sponsoring Member’s Child. Please note that Guests can attend for a maximum of 5 camp days per summer.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious lunch, afternoon snack and beverage daily. There will be a lunch charge of $12.72 per day per child. These charges will be billed to your club member account. If you are an accompanied guest of a member, your child’s lunch charges will be billed to the club account of the member of whom you are a guest.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
Hello! My name is Rachel Bates. I hold a Master of Education in Reading and have been a teacher for 25+ years. I currently teach dual language kindergarten in Spanish and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) in our ABC after school program to children kindergarten through fifth grade. I love to teach and to learn. It is a joy to teach children -- they are creative and enthusiastic!
This will be my fourth year at Shooting Star with KE Camps and I look forward to another FUN summer together! We always include service to others through projects or time donations. Elements of self-awareness and growth through achievement are rewarded and recognized. In the past we have done science experiments, played games, learned about nature, animals and so much more!
We built with magnets, recyclables, and made ‘sky balls’ with parachutes. All this, in addition to the wonderful facilities at Shooting Star where we swam, played golf and played tennis. Each year, we make one BIG project. In the past we made a huge robot and last year we made a submarine complete with working periscope! This year we will make a rocket for our ‘Blast into Space’ theme! The past years have been great, but this year will be the BEST!
I can’t wait to see you! We will make so many wonderful memories together having fun!
