Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Emma, and I am thrilled to be the Camp Director for KE Camps at Riverside Golf and Country Club this summer! It will be an amazing summer full of fun.
I am an Oregon native and grew up in Northeast Portland, where I spent many summer days at the Riverside pool! I have always had a passion for teaching and working with kids so after high school, I received my undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). I knew I wanted to be an elementary teacher, so I applied for Teach for America and after college, moved to Tennessee, where I taught third grade for two years. Living in the South was amazing but I missed the Pacific Northwest and my family so I applied to graduate programs back on the west coast. After getting my graduate degree in Seattle, I moved home to Portland where I became teacher on special assignment for the Reynolds School District! I help students, teachers, and principals create strong school communities by supporting work called Restorative Practices. I love working with children and having a summer role that allows me to continue that is a perfect fit!
Being back in Portland has been such a wonderful opportunity to connect to the things that make me happy. I love being in the mountains and on the weekends, I’m usually hiking, biking, backpacking, or camping. Sharing my passion for the outdoors with children is something that brings me so much joy, I’m looking forward to the fun outdoor activities and science projects we’ll get to do at camp this year! I also love sports (Go Timbers and Blazers) and was a soccer coach for two years in college so I am looking forward to all the games and activities we’ll have this summer. Being a teacher, I’ve got tons of ideas for projects and crafts; there will be something fun for every camper to enjoy and create!
My friends and family know me as an energetic and joyful person and I love to share that energy with the kiddos I work with. Creating positive memories and experiences with students and campers is the part of my job that brings me the most joy and I am looking forward to a summer season filled with laughs and fun!
See you at camp!
