If you are not a Club Member of Panther Creek Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Panther Creek in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Panther Creek Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day at camp will be full of structured and fun activities for your child. We love variety and therefore, the camper who attends for just one week will have just as fabulous a time as the camper who comes to camp all summer! Some highlights of the program are:
Lunch & Snacks
You have the option to purchase a kid-friendly lunch provided by the club for $25 per week. If you would like to purchase this option, please bring a check with you in the amount of $25 made payable to “Panther Creek Country Club” each Monday morning. The lunch checks will be collected by the Camp Director. Alternatively, you may request that the lunch be billed to your club member account. Otherwise, you are welcome to pack a lunch for your child.
We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is John Krohe, and I will be your Director at Camp Panther Creek this summer. I grew up in Springfield and have lived here all my life. I attended Sangamon State University and graduated with a BA in Business management. I have 2 children and I currently work for Springfield School District 186 with elementary age children. I have been coaching high school and college soccer for 20 plus years as well as directing youth soccer camps during that time.
Two of my biggest passions in life are children and sports. With that passion, I put a non-profit together to send new and used soccer balls and equipment to underprivileged children in Belize. It was a huge success, to which I am currently working on another shipment to different countries.
This summer at camp, I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and experiencing many different fun adventures as well as making many new friends. During camp some things that we will be doing include recreational swim time, golf and tennis lessons along with fun with foods, arts and crafts, science projects and of course, every Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday. Thankful Thursdays gives everyone a chance to give back by working on a service project for the community. Each day at camp will be full of a variety of structured and fun activities so that each camper can have the best experience possible. With the help of my camp counselors, we will ensure that your camper’s needs are all met. I look forward to a summer of fun!
Camp…Where strangers become friends and friendships last forever.
See you at Camp!
