The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Oakmont Kids Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Oakmont Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.

Age Range: 4 - 10

All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Wacky Wednesday

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursday

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Extra Snacks (Optional)
Flotation Vest: If you know that your child will be classified as a Bogey (our term for Non-Swimmer) this summer or you prefer your child to be classified this way, please pack a flotation vest for use in the Shallow End of the pool.

Form Downloads

Don’t forget to take a look at the important camp forms below.

Parent Manual

Be sure to read this manual for important and specific details about camp.

Authorization to Administer Medication Form

Should your child require any medication during the camp day (including an Epi-Pen or Inhaler), we ask that you complete this form and send it directly to our office or hand it to your Camp Director on your child’s first day of camp.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers and Families,

This will be my sixth time as a camp director, and I am very excited to be back! One of my

favorite parts of camp is our creative group challenges, like “Movie Madness” where the

kids pitch me their movie ideas, “Iron Chef” where the kids create things for the

counselors to taste, or “Infomercial” where the campers come up with a make-believe

product and then try to sell it to the counselors. I love seeing campers use their

imaginations and work together.

I also enjoy time at the pool. While many of our campers are SoCal water babies, it’s

always rewarding to see swimming confidence grow. The last few years I’ve seen a few

campers who started out as nervous swimmers jumping off the high-dive by summer’s

end!

During the year I teach improv to middle school, high school, and college students. My

favorite thing about improv is that it teaches listening, valuing other people’s ideas, and

creativity. I also act, and if you look carefully, you might spot me in some commercials. On my days off I love to go walk around Descanso Gardens and look at birds.  You can expect your kids to know some birds by the end of camp!

I can’t wait to meet you all. It’s going to be a fun summer!
