If you are not a Club Member of Locust Hill Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Locust in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Locust Hill Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Registration & Payments
Registration for Summer 2021 is open and will continue until we are full. So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.
Full payment is due upon registration. This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!
Cancellations & Refunds
All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at email@example.com. Cancellations made by July 11, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee). After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.
Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Cassie Matalavage, and I am the new camp director at Camp Locust! I am super excited to meet everyone and to plan exciting and fun activities! I am writing this letter to introduce myself and to welcome new and returning campers and their families.
I am currently a bilingual special education teacher for the Rochester City School District. This is my fourth year in the position and I enjoy every moment that I spend with my students. Before beginning my career as a teacher, I earned my bachelor's and master's at Nazareth College. While there, I double majored in Education and Spanish and even had the opportunity to spend 5 months in Spain studying abroad.
In addition to my educational background and career in teaching, I also have camp experience. Two years ago, I was the assistant director at Camp Cory. In this role, I learned how to lead others and meet the needs of all campers. I enjoyed my time there and learned a lot about working as a camp leader.
In my free time, I enjoy taking my students out for fun activities including laser tag, ice skating and art classes. My students bring me so much joy and always know how to put a smile on my face. That is why I am so passionate about my job as a teacher.
As a teacher and your camp director, I believe that relationships are essential to a successful year and summer. I plan to get to know each and every camper and their family. With a strong relationship, I will be better prepared to create activities that are engaging and interesting to all campers.
I am super excited for summer camp to begin this year! I cannot wait to spend the summer outside playing with the campers and making unforgettable camp memories.
