Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Inverness Golf Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Inverness Day Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Inverness Golf Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 5 - 11
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every full-day camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Hello Campers and Families,
My name is Katie and I am so excited to meet all of you! I currently work as a STEM teacher at Stanton Middle School up in Fox Lake. Originally STEM was a before-school club, but after some hard work and finding exciting resources, I developed and implemented our first, official STEM class! Now I work with classes of fifth through eighth graders, where they get an introduction to 3D printing (and get to keep one of their own designs), build popsicle stick bridges (along with learning about the different structures of real-life bridges), and use the engineering design process to brainstorm and build solutions for their mystery bags. Before I taught in the middle school, I was a kindergarten teacher and camp counselor with Bright Horizons Family Solutions in Vernon Hills. Teaching kindergarten was a wonderful experience, filled with many happy memories and drawings I still have to this day. While I was a counselor, I supervised and planned daily activities for 5-12 year olds, just like my responsibilities here!
Prior to embarking on my career in education, I attended Illinois State University. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education along with endorsements in Mathematics, Social Science, General Science, and Language Arts. Over of summer of 2015, I studied abroad in England where I was placed in a few primary-aged classrooms and got to explore different cities and towns. Within the next few years, I hope to continue traveling (hopefully Thailand will be next!) and start working towards my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Apart from my resume, I really enjoy working with children of all ages. The highlights of my day usually consist of a great conversation with a student, whether that is talking about their day or them asking me about my third favorite animal.
I am thrilled to be starting this new opportunity, where I can bring joy and enthusiasm to your summer-- along with mine!
See you at camp!
