Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
You have the option to purchase a kid-friendly lunch provided by the club for $25 per week. You may choose this option at the time of enrollment. Otherwise, please pack your own lunch for your child in a cooler or backpack.
A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
I am super excited to be the Director at Camp Hawk Pointe this summer! My name is Kristin Race, and I am so excited to have an exciting, memorable, and fun-filled summer with you! We are going to do some really fun experiments, play some exciting games, and make some great memories! I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started!
During the school year I am a third grade teacher at Saints Philip and James School in Phillipsburg, NJ. I have had a lot of experience in and out of the classroom working with children. During high school and college, I was an assistant director at the summer camp in the town I grew up, the same camp I attended as a child! I loved going to camp every day and teaching children in an engaging and fun way! I also was a private kindergarten teacher and ran a summer camp (kindergarten through fifth grade) at a daycare. All these experiences have taught me that teaching children is my passion and I don’t consider these jobs work, but a blessing. I don’t only teach children - they also teach me new and exciting things every day.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family. I love taking walks with my husky puppy, Luna, who loves the outdoors. I also love spending time with my twin baby nieces who I enjoy reading to, playing, and watching explore the world around them. I love watching my nieces grow and I can’t wait to see the same with the campers this summer at Camp Hawk Pointe!
I am super excited for summer to begin and I look forward to meeting everyone and making it a summer to remember!
See you at camp!
