Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

You have the option to purchase a kid-friendly lunch provided by the club for $25 per week. You may choose this option at the time of enrollment. Otherwise, please pack your own lunch for your child in a cooler or backpack.

A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Payments, Cancellations, Refunds

Registration & Payments

Registration for Summer 2020 is open and will continue until we are full.   So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.

Full payment is due upon registration.  This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Cancellations & Refunds

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at info@kecamps.com. Cancellations made by June 21, 2020 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee).  After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

Form Downloads

Don’t forget to take a look at the important camp forms below.

The State Health Department requires a record of immunization OR letter stating the medical or religious exemption reason to be collected before your child may attend camp.

Parent Manual

Be sure to read this manual for important and specific details about camp.

NJ Camper Health Form Supplement

Download this health form, print, complete and fax or email back to us as soon as you can and definitely before camp begins. You may also log back in to the registration site after you have enrolled your child to upload the paperwork there. We will ask for some medical information about your child during the online registration process. In addition, NJ state law requires that this supplement be on file for every camper. We thank you for your cooperation in getting this form to us in a timely manner.

Authorization to Administer Medication Form

Should your child require any medication during the camp day (including an Epi-Pen or Inhaler), we ask that you complete this form and send it directly to our office or hand it to your Camp Director on your child’s first day of camp.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Camp Hawk Pointe Family,

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the 2020 Director of Camp Hawk Pointe! My name is Meghan Gecek, and I’m excited to meet each and every one of you. We are going to have so much fun this summer!

Let me introduce myself. I am a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Hope Township School and have been at Hope for 15 years. My favorite subjects are math and science. Most of my lessons are hands-on experiences and learning through exploring the outdoors. There is nothing better than the outdoor classroom and listening to one another’s perspectives. In addition to teaching, my hobbies are geared around the outdoors - hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, and swimming, just to name a few. I’m also fond of working with others to create new games using traditional sports equipment. Maybe that’s why I enjoy Frisbee Golf. An interesting fact is that my dad owned - now retired - Efinger’s Sporting Goods in Bound Brook, NJ. He followed in the footsteps of my great-grandmother (a family-owned business that started in 1909.) That being said, this is probably why I’m such an outdoor and sports enthusiast.

Speaking of family, my husband and I have two children. We also have our yellow lab, Pyne. We are part of the puppy training for the Morristown Seeing Eye Dog Program, and we are in the process of putting together a koi pond in our backyard.

I look forward to getting to know you and what you enjoy. Together we will build great friendships and lasting memories.

See you soon!
Meghan Gecek
