Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Des Moines Golf & Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with DMGCC Day Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Des Moines Golf & Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
One of my favorite things about working with children is seeing the magic of their hearts and minds play itself out in the day-to-day monotony of life. There’s a quote that says, “The world when seen through a little child’s eyes, greatly resembles paradise.” I found this to be true last year during the KE Camps’ summer camp at Des Moines Golf & Country Club! During camp, campers did not move, think, or speak in a straight line and neither did their imaginations or creativity. From cannonball contests in the pool, water balloon fights on the grass, and making our own piñatas and dinosaur fossils to science experiments and golf and tennis lessons, their imaginations and creativity were constant! I want to express my gratitude to you for allowing me to share in this magical time in your child’s life this summer as their Camp Director.
Currently, I am blessed to experience that same day-to-day excitement while working as a special education associate with the Waukee Community School District as well as providing respite services for children with special needs. In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, camping, hiking, reading, brunch, Mass, adoration, and traveling to El Salvador. I can’t wait to incorporate mine and your child’s gifts, personality, knowledge, and passions to make camp an unforgettable experience for everyone! Your child will thrive in our daily activities of science experiments, swimming, crafts, music, golf and tennis lessons, and more. I know they won’t be able to wait and tell you about our Wacky Wednesday themes, SMILE Bands and weekly community service projects.
See you and your camper soon!
