Club Registration Requirements

If you are not a Club Member of Country Club of St. Albans, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp St. Albans in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Country Club of St. Albans to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.

Age Range: 4 - 10

All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Tennis: 2 recreational group lessons each week

Thankful Thursday

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director

Hello Camp Families!

I am ecstatic to get this summer rolling, meet our camp families, and make amazing memories. My name is Gabrielle, and I will be your Camp Director. This opportunity is beyond exciting for me, as my entire education and work experience has been centered around childcare and education, and I aspire to make that field my life’s work. I am currently studying Secondary Education with an emphasis in English at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, in addition to earning a Professional Writing Certificate. My dream job is to teach in any way that I can make learning fun, and I look forward to having that opportunity this summer with the camp kiddos!

My work history tells the story of my passion for working with kids. It begins with my volunteer position of six years in the nursery at my church. For the last two summers, I was a lead counselor at another local summer camp, which is where I learned of the amazing experiences that camp provides, not only for campers, but for staff members like myself to build lasting and meaningful relationships with campers and their families. Being a lead specifically prepared me for the effort that goes into planning and designing an enriching camp that kids can enjoy, and how rewarding it is to see the hard work pay off in the form of smiling campers. I also work as a substitute teacher, and am fascinated to see the world through the students' perspectives. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, baking, and spending time outside on my family’s small farm, or biking and hiking with my sister and my dog, Nikki.

I love the sense of wonder and imagination in children; it reminds me how important it is to allow myself to simply have fun every once and a while, especially when I’m feeling bogged down by school and other commitments. I hope to be a role model, like so many teachers were to me. I can pinpoint certain classrooms in which I was taught, not only grammar and Spanish, but how important learning is and the value of staying true to yourself. I aspire to impart similar valuable lessons on my students and campers. I am also passionate about creating an environment where children can explore and learn about, not only the world around them, but themselves. Fostering an environment where your children can grow, learn, and play safely is of utmost importance to me. I look forward to meeting you all soon soon and hope you all are as excited about this summer as I am!

See you soon,
