The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Charter Oak in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Charter Oak Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.

Age Range: 4 - 10

All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Golf: 2 recreational group lessons each week
Tennis: 2 recreational group lessons each week
Swimming: recreational swim time in the club’s pool each day

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Payments, Cancellations, Refunds

Registration & Payments

Registration for Summer 2021 is open and will continue until we are full. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.

Full payment is due upon registration.  This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Cancellations & Refunds

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at info@kecamps.com.  Cancellations made by July 11, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee).   After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

Covid-19 Safety Policy

As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.

We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly!  We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Please find our 2021 Covid-19 Safety Policy here.

Should your child require any medication during the camp day (including an Epi-Pen or Inhaler), we ask that you complete this form and send it directly to our office or hand it to your Camp Director on your child’s first day of camp.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers and Families,

My name is Emily Brunelli. I am so excited to meet you all and have the best summer ever! Some of my best childhood memories are from my summers spent at camp. Even though I would only go for one week every summer, those memories lasted a lifetime. I know how much of an impression camp can make. I still remember my favorite counselors, my friends turned pen pals, the activities, crafts and songs.

During my summers off in college, I worked as a camp counselor at the Attleboro YMCA, so I have experience working in a camp setting. I know the importance of being a role model and of making sure everyone is being respectful, has a voice, and feels safe and comfortable. I think camp is a great opportunity for kids to build relationships, friendships, be creative, be active, learn, and most importantly, have fun!

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics, as well as a minor in Spanish, from UMass Amherst. I currently work as an education aide and substitute teacher at Mason-Rice Elementary School. Here, I discovered my love for teaching and my passion for education. This has inspired me to pursue graduate school, where I will be looking to get certified to teach elementary education. I love working with kids and understand that each one is an individual, with their own personality and skill set, and I can’t wait to get to know all of the unique campers this summer. I love seeing kids express their creativity and hearing all of their stories and fun ideas. I know just how important camp can be for social and emotional development, as well as learning to build relationships with peers.

When I’m not at camp, you can find me spending a lot of time outdoors! I love to exercise, do yoga, hike and play soccer. I really love reading and being creative, especially when I can express my creativity through writing. I love cooking and trying new foods at different restaurants. My favorite thing to eat is pasta. I enjoy volunteering and giving back; I’m really passionate about the environment and volunteer with Save The Bay and participate in beach cleanups. I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I spent a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life!

I’m looking forward to an amazing summer and I hope you are too!

Emily Brunelli
