Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Brookside Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Brookside in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Brookside Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Shannon O’Grady and I LOVE CAMP! I am the inaugural director of Camp Brookside and can’t wait to share the first summer of camp with you.
I started out as a camper in my hometown of Morristown, NJ at age six, and began working at camps when I was in high school. My family and I moved to Lehigh Valley in the summer of 2018, and we are so happy here. I’ve always loved working with kids; I started babysitting when I was twelve and started teaching dance at age 18, after many years of training at NJ Ballet. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Rollins College, with a minor in Dance. I worked for many years as a professional performer at places such as The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Struthers Library Theater, and Galveston Island Family Musicals. While I loved being on stage, I always went back to working with children at camps such as Stars in Their Eyes (Rome, GA), Willow Lake (NJ) and Kent Place (NJ).
Kids are so honest and aren’t afraid to show how excited they are about the activities they love. I’m the same way; I have so much enthusiasm and I love to share it! Once I got married and had my own kids, I lovingly turned my work focus 100% to teaching and directing, but I like to think I still use my training as an actress to speak to large groups and entertain kids in my work.
In addition to substitute teaching at local schools, I am currently the Drama Director at George Wolf Elementary, and also direct for Pennsylvania Playhouse. In my spare time, I love to read, go on walks with my dogs, and enjoy the great outdoors with my family! Some of my happiest memories were of attending and teaching at summer camps.
I can’t wait to make more memories with all of you!
