Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
A kid-friendly lunch will be provided by the club daily. If you prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack.
A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Meet Your Camp Director
Hello Campers and Families,
My name is Austin Yaeger, and I will be the Director at Camp Brookhaven this summer. Let me start off by saying thank you for choosing KE Camps as your summer camp experience. I will strive to make your child’s summer one to remember.
I am currently a physical education teaching aide at an elementary school in Mansfield, TX. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in Kinesiology, with a focus on Physical Education. I am currently pursuing my master's in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A&M University – Commerce, and should be graduating this Spring.
I was a camper myself many years ago, and have fond memories of camp that really push me to provide the same types of experiences. I have been a part of a coaching staff for high school and middle school cross country, as well as track and field. I have also been in mentor programs at our campus. I was a student-athlete for 12 years, junior high through college, and have been fortunate enough to achieve the highest collegiate honor of All-American, in indoor track and field. My athletic background is varied, but I really enjoy running, soccer and basketball. I am a big animal lover, and have a dog of my own. I hope to one day have my own gym to teach, and eventually move onto administration work.
My passion for working with kids is being able to help them achieve what they thought impossible. As a teacher, I get to achieve those moments often, but it never gets old. I also enjoy creating fun experiences and having fun alongside the kids. I am excited about this summer because as camp director, I will devote time and energy to making your child’s summer one of the best. I will enjoy seeing the familiar faces of campers from last year, as I was a counselor last summer. Playing tennis, sharks and minnows, arts and crafts, Wacky Wednesdays, and Thankful Thursdays are activities I am ready to be a part of again.
I want this summer to be full of fun and excitement. Our staff team will work together to make great memories to live on forever. We cannot wait to see you at camp!
Let’s have some fun,
