All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KECamps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KECamps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
I am thrilled to be your Camp Director this summer! I have been a camper, camp counselor and most recently, an assistant camp director. I love everything about camp, and am looking forward to making this a great experience and great summer for you!
Currently I teach high school English to 9th and 10th graders. Before this position, I taught English as a Second Language in South Korea and in the Middle East. During the summer of 2015, I worked as an assistant camp director for Camp Wadii located at the United States Embassy Recreation Association. We had campers from all over the world, so we planned many different cultural activities.
Even though I teach full-time, I am also a graduate student at Webster University. In May, I will earn a Missouri Teaching Certificate to teach K-12 English Language Learners. I will also earn my second master’s degree. My dream for the future is to be the director of an English language school.
In my free time, I like to spend “aunt time” with my nephews and nieces. Here are is a photo of me being Aunt Kate with one of my wonderful nephews. When the weather is nice, I spend as much time as I can outdoors, usually hiking, swimming or exploring.
I am excited about being your Camp Director because working with kids helps me see the world through their eyes. Children have so much wonder that adults lose as they get older. Because of their wonder and imagination, they make everything so fun!
I look forward to meeting the summer 2019 campers and families!
